Nature. Culture. Passion.

An impressive landscape, a love of culture, and people with passion and enthusiasm: this is how St. Margarethen in Burgenland sees itself. The municipality’s inspiring self-definition is matched by the inspired design created by the Eisenstadt-based architects Halbritter und Halbritter for St. Margarethen’s recently renovated municipal offices.

Spaciousness and Transparency

The municipal offices of St. Margarethen, renovated and expanded in 2018, are an example of successful architecture that perfectly implements the client’s specific conceptual requirements: citizen accessibility, openness and service orientation. These find expression in the ideal linking of inner and outer rooms, the spaciousness and transparency, and, not least, the ambience of airiness and light.

A Cordial Welcome

The generously glazed premises of the municipal offices invite St. Margarethen’s residents to come in and visit. Transparency, friendliness and service orientation: this promise is also strongly underscored by the office spaces furnished by Neudoerfler – down to the smallest details of the furniture, which follows a clear, timeless office design concept.

Reduction of Colour and Form

The office furniture by Neudoerfler – cabinets, desks, conference tables and seating – all follows a consistent leitmotif. The fresh, uncluttered ambience of the offices is accentuated by white AER cabinets and shelves as well as Motion desks and conference tables. In combination with the light wood floors, the white furniture looks not at all cool or austere, but rather creates a friendly and homey atmosphere. The airy, light, almost floaty lines promote clear thinking. Files and documents disappear inside the Neudoerfler cabinet systems, which are true miracles of storage space.

An Interior that Communicates an Approach

The St. Margarethen municipal offices are proof that well-thought-out architecture and interior design can communicate inner values and a basic approach. In the case of the municipality of St. Margarethen in Burgenland, this means service orientation, citizen accessibility and transparency.
