The minimalistic yet impressive design of desk lamp Tizio, which was created in 1970 for Artemide by Richard Sapper, can be found in many contemporary interiors. It is adjustable enough for almost all living areas and tasks, which require bright and concentrated light.
Thanks to the fine mechanic with counterweights from varnished aluminium, the light can easily be brought to all levels. Tizio’s innovation lies in its basic concept: a transformer that is integrated in the foot of the lamp supplies the light source, via bars and joints, wirelessly with low-voltage electricity.
Now also available as tall freestanding luminaire.
